Dunlewey Centre/Ionad Cois Locha Activities
In the middle of the century many people came to this homestead to visit Manus Ferry, renowned weaver, and to purchase his tweed. Manus’s home has been preserved to give the visitor the full flavour of life in Donegal in the middle of the last century.
Take a story telling trips in the 50 seater boat, The Grainne Rose. View the double-peaked summit of Errigal and the glimmering granite of the Poison Glen from new angles. Pass near the site of a prehistoric Crannog, the first ‘Dunlewey’ which now lies beneath the water and you might spot the Green Lady, ghost of the Guinness Estate, across the Lough.
Children of all ages are catered for and are guaranteed an exciting days entertainment. The indoor and outdoor play areas include: Pedaloes on the pond, Bouncy Castle, Rodeo Bull, Adventure playground, Climbing wall, Soft Play Area, Water Walking Balls.
The lakeside walk takes you past the home of the ducks, donkeys, peahen, peacock and the rabbit. You can enjoy peaceful moments on the shores of Dunlewey Lough and admire spectacular views of Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains.
