Join your cousins from far and wide in a McGeady weekend in Donegal.

Over the years we have had many gatherings alternating between the US and Ireland.  After a hiatus of 12 years we met again in 2015 for a very successful reunion in Philadelphia.  Please join us in July, 2017 for the first reunion in Ireland since 2003.

Why Donegal?  Although there are McGeadys all over the world, most trace their ancestors back to Ireland with the majority of them coming from Donegal.  In addition there are many McGeadys currently living in Donegal.  For many McGeadys Donegal is “home.”

Saturday Party!

Big party at on Saturday, July 29th  at Dunlewey Centre/ Ionad Cois Locha with food, music, dancing and of course a chance to meet McGeadys you haven’t seen in years, or may never have met before.  This is the main event and the one you don’t want to miss.    It has been 14 years since our last party in Ireland so we are ready to rock!

Friday Meet & Greet

For Friday we’re planning a “Meet & Greet” at a place to be determined later.  There is also an opportunity for multiple festivities on Thursday or on Friday.  If you’d like to suggest a venue, or even better, host one yourself please contact us through this webpage.

Sunday Festivities

McGeady’s Bar

We’ll have many chances to celebrate at McGeady’s Bar in Dunlewey during the course of the weekend, but we’re having a special event there on Sunday at noon.  Michael McGeady, the proprietor will arrange for the music!   McGeady’s Bar is located across the road from Sacred Heart Chapel.  You can see it on Google Maps here.
