McGeady is an unusual name. There are not too many of us and quite possibly, if we go back far enough, we’ll find that we are all related. One of the purposes of this site is to help locate all of the McGeady’s living today and find out how they are connected to each other.

Perhaps we can even find that common ancestor! Evidence seems to point to an ancestor in Northwest Donegal, Ireland, whose ancestor, in turn may have emigrated from Scotland.

Over the years the Clan has gathered several times both in the US and in Ireland. We are planning another reunion in 2015 in Philadelphia, please join us!
